Corporate Portraits Hampshire – Paris Smith
Paris Smith LLP is a law firm based in Southampton. They have over 125-staff and regularly use Solent Studios for their corporate portraits of their staff. As staff are employed anD new faces join the team, the project for business portraits is ongoing.
Around 3-years ago the marketing department at Paris Smith spoke with us about ways they wanted to portray their staff to potential clients. They were looking for images that portrayed their staff as friendly and approachable while also appearing professional. Also, they wanted to ensure images were suitable for offline use but also for inclusion in email newsletters, website usage, and social media platforms such as Linked In.
As you can imagine, with so many busy lawyers, scheduling for the project can be quite difficult. Additionally, sending over 100 lawyers to a photography studio would cost a small fortune in time lost. So, we take everything that is required to Paris Smith. We use a spare meeting room to set up a portrait studio with lights and diffusers along with a pure white backlit backdrop.
Every two to three months, the marketing department at Paris Smith schedules a 1-hour session for portraits of new staff or to refresh images of older portraits. Within a one-hour session we can comfortably photograph around 10-people. The shoot will include around a handful of images of each person.
When photographing corporate portraits we suggest that small groups of people are scheduled together. This allows for some light-hearted talk to occur and keeps the session relaxed. Which hopefully you will see in the final results. Lastly, as we shoot digitally, we always show the results to each person before the session is ended to ensure they are happy with the results or have their portrait taken again.
